A-JAX’s “2MYX” is a reply to Girls’ Generation’s “Run Devil Run”?

A-JAX‘s new song “2MYX” has been revealed to be a reply song to Girls’ Generation‘s “Run Devil Run“.

The group released their music video teaser yesterday, featuring the boys running after a girl dressed in black. This seems to be a reference to the Girls’ Generation’s song that tells their ex to ‘run’. The choreography for ‘Run Devil Run’ even has a part where the girls brings their hands together in a mock gun to shoot.

“2MYX” was written by Kalle Engström, the same Swedish composer who wrote “Run Devil Run”. The song itself has lyrics such as, “I’m an uninteresting, manner-less devil“, and insults their ex girlfriend for being too attached to them. They also talk about ‘the numerous phone numbers of women collected in [their] phone‘, responding directly to Girls’ Generation’s lyrics.

The full song will be released on November 15th at noon KST.
