CNBLUE’s Yonghwa produced 17 songs in just first half of the year


It’s been reported that CNBLUE member Yonghwa had produced 17 songs in the first half of the year alone.

Yonghwa’s producing talent was acknowledged when he gifted his song “Stupid” to FNC Music‘s rookie singer Juniel, and also when he gave his “Love is Only You” to the agency’s rookie girl group AOA who just debuted on July 30th.

In addition, CNBLUE’s upcoming first Japanese full-length album holds 9 of Yonghwa’s self produced songs. Their 3rd mini album, ‘Ear Fun‘, released in March also held five of Yonghwa’s songs.

According to FNC, Yonghwa had been consistently working on producing new songs in between his busy schedule and is currently working on producing new songs for CNBLUE’s next album.

Meanwhile, CNBLUE released their third single ‘Come On‘ in Japan on August 1st. They will really buckle down and target Japan’s music scene with the release of their first Japanese full-length album’Code Name Blue‘ on August 29th.

FT Island’s Hongki is studying for his upcoming midterms



FT Island‘s Lee Hongki is focusing all of his attention on studying for his midterms.

The singer who is a Communication & Information major at Kyunghee University recently wrapped up promotions for “Severely” with his group, and is in complete study mode.

Originally a Post-Modern Music Major, Hongki found it difficult to juggle both his busy work schedule and school, but has now transfered and will be devoting himself to his studies for the time being.

If he has his laptop with him, no matter where he happens to be, Hongki reportedly takes advantage of the online classes and can study anywhere.

His fellow label mate, CNBLUE‘s Jung Yonghwa is also a student at the same university, studying Chinese. Yonghwa along with the rest of his CNBLUE members recently returned with their new album ‘EAR FUN‘, but he is consistently listening to online lectures to maintain his grades.

An education representative remarked, “A lot of celebrities who are unable to attend traditional college courses are taking advantage of the provided online courses to continue their education.”

CN Blue tops the charts with “Hey You”


Top Hallyu band CN Blue has swept the charts with their comeback single, “Hey You“.

“Hey You” is the lead single from their third mini album ‘Ear Fun‘ which was released on March 26th. “Hey You” has received explosive interest and consequently topped the charts on various music portals such as Melon, Mnet and Olle Music.

CN Blue has garnered great interest for their comeback through their multiple teaser videos and the behind the scenes of their music video.

Furthermore, the music video for Jung Yong Hwa‘s self-composed teaser single “Still in Love” has racked up over 2 million views on Youtube in just one week.

In related news, CN Blue will be holding a press party titled ‘Enjoy Launch Party for Ear Fun‘ to kick off their promotions for ‘Ear Fun’.

CNBLUE to hold a comeback showcase on the morning of March 26th


Popular K-Pop band CNBLUE will be holding their comeback showcase early in the morning, rather than in the evening.

On March 26th at 11AM, CNBLUE will be holding their ‘Enjoy Lunch PARTY for EAR FUN‘ at the ‘EL Tower‘ in Seoul.

It is very rare for an artist to hold a comeback showcase in the morning, as the evening atmosphere is much better suited to unveil a new song. But CNBLUE has decided to be unique and hold their showcase bright and early.

This showcase is one that’s not so much for the fans, as it will be more geared towards introducing their new songs to the press and media to kick off their new promotions.

An insider from CNBLUE’s agency remarked on March 23rd, “We didn’t intend for this to happen, but we are holding a showcase early in the morning. The boys are planning to very calmly reveal their new songs.”

The boys busy schedules with their individual promotions most likely had a big influence on the timing of the showcase. Member Kang Min Hyuk is currently filming his KBS drama, and Lee Jong Hyun is preparing for his own SBS drama in which he was recently cast. “They’re juggling a very busy schedule ahead of their comeback,” the insider continued.

CNBLUE’s new pre-released song “Still In Love” is faring well on the charts, and they will be promoting their title track “Hey You” after their new album ‘EAR FUN‘ drops officially on March 26th.

CNBLUE releases MV for “Still In Love”


CNBLUE have released Yonghwa‘s self-composed track off of their upcoming mini-album along with a video of the song-recording process!

The song titled “Still In Love” was released on various digital sites on March 16th, along with a special video on YouTube that shows the process of the members’ recording session. This music video gives more anticipation to the fans who are eagerly awaiting for the release of their 3rd mini album ‘Ear Fun‘ on March 27th.
