T-ara's Hyomin makes her first tweet in almost a year

T-ara's Hyomin made her first tweet in almost a year.

Hyomin has been inactive on Twitter ever since the group's bullying scandal erupted last year. She hopped on the social networking service in order to express her feelings about ending promotions for T-ara subunit T-ara N4's debut single, "Countryside Life".

Hyomin tweeted, "Today is the last [music show broadcast] of 'Countryside Life'... Each stage was precious, and though I was cautious and afraid, now that I've experienced it, I came to understand the importance and desperateness for work that I didn't know before. Because of that... I'll try harder with a more sincere mindset. I want to honestly thank all those of you who listened to and supported our song. And to our SPEED dongsengs, choreography team, and all the staff members who I'm grateful for, you all worked really hard."

Of course what her and T-ARA fans commented, "I missed you," "Of course I'd always support you guys," and "T-ara N4 daebak."

T-ARA Presents Their 2013 New Year’s Greeting


T-ARA recently revealed their  2013 new year‘s greeting to fans. 

“Hello, this is T-ARA here.”

“Yes, it is finally a new year of 2013!  It’s the year of the snake.  We have one member who was born in the year of the snake. Hyomin!”

“Hyomin on behalf of the year of the snake, please say a word.”

Hyomin asks,  ”Just one?”  ”Yes.”   “Hmm..”  “Is there anything you wish for?”

“For the fans…. hmm..well we have a new president this year.  I wish for a strong, healthy and happy nation. I hope for T-ARA’s health as usual and wish for you all to be healthy as well.” 

“Yes, just like Hyomin said, we wish everyone to be healthy and please look forward to T-Ara’s performance in the new year. Also remember to please watch over us forever.  This was T-ara. Shall we give a big “happy new year?”

“Happy New Year!”

Meanwhile, T-ara recently performed at the MBC 2012 Gayo Daejun on December 31.

CCM reveals the dark side of Hwayoung, mudslinging ensues


Following their announcement regarding the termination of Hwayoung‘s contract, Core Contents Media recently revealed some of Hwayoung’s unacceptable behavior in the past, furthering the mudslinging.

According to CCM, after their Budokan concert and return to Korea on July 27th, T-ara was preparing to go on stage for a live broadcast of KBS‘s ‘Music Bank‘. With only two groups before them left to go, Hwayoung suddenly decided that she did not want to perform on stage that day.

CCM had decided that due to her leg injury, Hwayoung would sit on a chair on stage for her rap segment, and so the girls had successfully completed their camera rehearsal before the broadcast. However, Hwayoung suddenly changed her mind and refused to go on stage with 2 groups left to go.

The agency stated that in order to prevent an accident on live TV, members Eunjung and Hyomin were pressed to learn Hwayoung’s rap segment in the short amount of time they had before their turn. With the new pressure, Hyomin was clearly nervous and ended up making a mistake during the rap segment.

On the way home, Hwayoung, in front of fans and reporters, threw down her crutches and sat on the floor, threatening to yell at the managers in public. It has also been revealed that Hwayoung has shown both fans and reporters a similar side to her, with unacceptable actions and behavior on the set of ‘Music Bank’.

CCM CEO Kim Kwang Soo stated, “We will not be revealing any more of Hwayoung’s similar behaviors outside of the ‘Music Bank’ incident because we do want to protect her. I am also sorrowed by the words left on Hwayoung’s Twitter.”

Winners from the ’2011 MBC Drama Awards’


The top stars gathered for the 2011 MBC Drama Awards, but the greatest honor went to none other than actor Cha Seung Won and actress Gong Hyo Jin for their roles in ‘The Greatest Love‘.

Actor Cha Seung Won who was awarded as the Best Mini-Series Male Actor remarked, “I would like to thank my my wife, my son, and my daughter. I would also like to thank actress Gong Hyo Jin and Yoon Kye Sang.” Meanwhile, his co-star Gong Hyo Jin was also awarded as the Best Mini-Series Female Actor stated, “I always felt that moments like these are really embarrassing and now that it’s here, I feel a bit awkward. I want to thank my director who I complained to a lot, and I want to tell him that I am sorry. I had some good luck this year, so I thought that I would perhaps win this award.”

Additionally, JYJ’s Park Yoochun, B2ST’s Kikwang, and T-ara’s Hyomin were awarded with the Rookie awards! Check out the list of winners below!

T-ara Changes Leader from Hyomin to Soyeon


Beginning from January 1, T-ara will start to promote their new track “Lovey-Dovey” of their repackage album. T-ara has decided to change their leader from Hyomin to Soyeon.

T-ara’s entertainment agency Core Content Media stated on December 7, “Soyeon is the main vocal of T-ara and also the second eldest. She has a strong sense of responsibility that is why she is going to be the leader after Eunjung, Boram, and Hyomin.

T-ara has an interesting leadership system where the leader will change after every 6 to 8 months. The leader of the group at that time will meet with producers and stylists in order to discuss the concept and style that T-ara will pursue.

Currently Soyeon is busy trying to plan a new concept for “Lovey Dovey,” T-ara wants to show a completely transformed side from the androgynous concept of “Cry Cry.”

“Lovey Dovey” was produced by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyu Sung. The song has a strong electronic beat. Also, the music video for the song had three directors and 5 different versions.

T-ara reveals they were inspired by TVXQ for ‘Cry Cry’


T-ara has revealed that TVXQ was their role models for their latest song.

Starting on November 17th, T-ara began their comeback performances with the ballad and original versions of “Cry Cry“.

In order to show strong choreography and an androgynous appeal for “Cry Cry”, T-ara practiced powerful dances usually performed by men. T-ara pointed out that they made TVXQ their role models for their comeback and practiced ardently.

For the ballad version performance, T-ara showed a mournful and charismatic side of themselves that they haven’t shown before. Vocalist Soyeon to maknae Jiyeon captivated audiences with their charming vocal colors.

Then for the original version of “Cry Cry”, T-ara made a 180 degree shocking transformation with their powerful choreography. In particular, Hyomin showed a female warrior-like appeal during her cane dance.
The key choreography of “Cry Cry” are the poses that appear to be as if they are wiping away their tears. Also, during the performance, T-ara removes their jackets to give a powerful sexy transformation.

Meanwhile, T-ara continues to practice until the break of dawn and has asked fans to continue to watch over them.

T-ara to skip year-end award ceremonies for overseas activities

It’s just been announced that girl group T-ara will be absent from all year-end award ceremonies in order to focus on overseas activities instead.
Agency Core Contents Media revealed on November 10th, “T-ara will not be attending this year’s ‘Melon Music Awards‘, ‘MAMA‘ or ‘Golden Disk Awards‘. Instead, they will be heading overseas for activities in Japan, China and Taiwan to meet with their fans.”

T-ara is facing a very packed schedule as they prepare to release their new mini-album, “Black Eyes“. Furthermore, members Hyomin and Eunjung are also busy with filming their respective sageuk dramas, and it was reportedly difficult to coordinate their schedules.

In related news, their new music video for “Cry Cry” has generated a huge amount of interest from fans thanks to its dramatic storyline. Fans will be delighted to know that a re-edited version will be released on the 10th.

T-ara will be making their official comeback on the 18th through KBS’s “Music Bank“.

T-ara releases comeback music video for “Roly Poly”!


On June 29th, T-ara finally released their long-awaited comeback music video for “Roly Poly“!

Unlike any regular music video, “Roly Poly” is a whopping 10 minutes long and was done under a mini-drama format with direction from famous director, Cha Eun Taek. Fit to the song’s retro theme, the music video is about the feelings of nostalgia for the good ol’ days.

At the center are members Eunjung, Jiyeon, and Hyomin, with special appearances by Jun Young Rok (Boram‘s father) and actress Im Ye Jin.

The song itself was co-produced by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyu Sang. Core Contents Media explained, “‘Roly Poly’ features an addictive but easy to follow melody that will catch the attention of listeners of all ages. The minute people watch the music video, the older generation will feel the scent of their youth while the younger generation experiences something new.”
