CEO Baek Chang Joo Says, “My Goal Is To Make JYJ A Long-Running Group”

Entertainment agency C-JeS Entertainment’s CEO Baek Chang Joo stated that his goal is “To make JYJ a long-running group.”

CEO Baek Chang Joo, who is in charge of running JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment, drew the attention of many when he stated that this was his goal in the first edition of the ‘THE JYJ’ magazine, which contains the current whereabouts of the members and honest interviews from them.
In the interview, CEO Baek stated, “JYJ will continue to consistently hold world tours,” and “I want to make JYJ a long-running group.”

He stated, “When I’m asked what my goal is, I always say, ‘To survive’. I don’t know exactly till when, but I believe that ‘surviving till the end’ is very important. It’s not that the strong are the ones who survive, but that those who survive are strong,” and “Just because one is doing well now, doesn’t mean they are guaranteed to keep doing well in the future.”

The first edition of ‘THE JYJ’ contains honest interviews from the members that took place over 25 hours, as well as their memories of the past 1000 days as members of JYJ. A DVD containing 40 minutes of unreleased footage is also included in the magazine. ‘THE JYJ’ will be released every six months and will be catered to JYJ’s fans.

Meanwhile, JYJ have been active as ‘Korea’s representative group’ through various state events and honorary ambassador jobs, including performing at the 18th Presidential Inauguration ceremony.

They ended their lawsuit with SM Entertainment last November in three years and four months, and won their lawsuit against Japan’s AVEX on the 18th of January. As JYJ are now free to pursue activities in Japan, they are planning to greet fans in Japan for the first time in four years in Tokyo Dome in April.
