On December 30 on his Twitter, group Big Bang’s Seungri uploaded a photo along with a short message, “Pink Pink pink!!!! G pink!!”

In the picture are Seungri and G-Dragon with funny frowns on their faces. What drew the fans’ attention the most however, was G-Dragon’s new hairstyle. In the photo, G-Dragon sports a new hairstyle with the right side left jet black and the left side dyed a hot pink shade.

On December 29 on SBS’s “Gayo Daejun,” Big Bang drove the audience wild by performing the remix of “Fantastic Baby” and “Gangnam Style,” and the infamous horse dance.

Meanwhile, fans who saw this picture commented, “Big Bang’s performance yesterday was awesome,” “G-Dragon’s hair style resembles that of a parrot,” and “Seungri has such an adorable expression.”

Popular group Big Bang successfully completed their first concert in Indonesia. Their ‘Alive Galaxy Tour 2012‘ brought 30,000 fans to Jakarta’s Mata Elang International Stadium. reportedly the largest Indoor Stadium in South East Asia.

YG Entertainment stated that Big Bang succeeds popular Indonesian boy groups Hitz and XO IX, girl group PRINCESS, male solo artist Gadaffi Ismail Sabri, and actor-model Ryzal Jaafar as performers in the stadium.

On October 12th and 13th, Big Bang opened with “Still Alive“ and continued with hit songs “Lies“, “Haru Haru“, “Heaven“, and “Fantastic Baby“, performing a total of 23 songs for fans.

Indonesia SCTV‘s Liputan6, as well as several online news sites, covered the group’s arrival in Indonesia plus their concert rehearsals and events on October 11th.

Big Bang will continue their tour in October in Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia; Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Peru in November, and Hong Kong then a Japan dome tour in December, as well as an additional concert in Osaka on January 12th and 13th.

Big Bang has taken first place on the half-year chart of one of Japan’s biggest digital music sites, ‘Dwango‘.

‘Dwango’ recently released their list of top charting songs for the first half of 2012, and revealed that Big Bang came out on top in the K-Pop category with their latest hit track, “Fantastic Baby“, a song off of their ‘Alive‘ album.

This isn’t the only piece of news that demonstrates Big Bang’s soaring popularity in Japan, as the boys also recently sold out their Japanese tour to a 250,000 audience members, while member Seungri is scheduled for a variety of programs in Japan starting this September.

Big Bang will be continuing their world tour on July 21st in China so they’re looking ahead to a busy second half of the year.

Gaon Chart has unveiled the top artists in physical and digital sales for the first half of 2012!

Perhaps to nobody’s surprise, Big Bang and T-ara were named the Kings and Queens of sales for the year so far, as they each came out on top in the categories of physical album sales and digital album sales respectively.

Big Bang took first with their fifth mini-album, ‘Alive‘, which recorded 267,319 units in sales through May, setting it at a lead of over 100,000 units against SHINee, who took second place with 165,411 units with ‘Sherlock‘.

Girls’ Generation‘s sub-unit TaeTiSeo took third with ‘Twinkle‘, recording 139,388 units in sales.

As for the digital charts, T-ara’s “Lovey Dovey” took the lead, followed by Big Bang’s “Blue” and “Fantastic Baby” in second and third respectively.

Fourth was taken by the biggest rookie of the year, Busker Busker, and their greatest hit, “Cherry Blossom Ending“. The super rookies are a strong contender on the physical charts as well, as they’ve sold 104,180 units of their debut album to date.

Following after Busker Busker is rookie Ailee in fifth.

Will Big Bang‘s “Monster” MV be able to record over 25,000,000 views?

In just this year alone, Big Bang has released two MVs that have each received over 20 million views on YouTube. “Fantastic Baby” received approximately 25,000,000 views, while “Blue” received over 22,000,000 views. Additionally, their MV for “Bad Boy” is at the 15 million view mark.

Their new MV for “Monster” which was just released on June 3rd received 3,400,000 views in just a single day, and considering “Fantastic Baby” and “Blue” were released around 2 to 3 months ago, it would not be an exaggeration to say that at this rate “Monster” will be able to easily exceed 25million views in that same amount of time.

The explosive response from fans is credited to the boys’ unconventional appearance and the quality of the MV that’s on par with a Hollywood Blockbuster. The “Monster” MV is a collaboration project between both YG Entertainment and Hyundai Card, and the post-production alone reportedly took an entire month to complete.

Both fans and those in the industry alike are sitting on the edge of their seats, wondering if Big Bang will be able to break their own records.

We previously reported that idol group TEEN TOP participated in Big Bang‘s global cover contest, and YG Entertainment sent a special Thank You in response.

On April 12th, YG Entertainment wrote via their official me2day page, “Special Thank You to all of you who participated in Big Bang’s cover survival ‘FANTASTIC1′! We enjoyed watching all of the videos submitted by all of you fantastic fans! We were touched as we watched every last video. We will be sure to greet you with great opportunities in the future, so we ask for your continued interest and support. Thank you everyone, you all worked so hard!”

Additionally, they took a screen capture of the video submitted by TEEN TOP and wrote, “This here is ‘Fantastic Baby’ by TEEN TOP which is receiving explosive interest from fans!”

YG Entertainment announced that they would gift the winner of the “Fantastic Baby” cover contest and invite them to Big Bang’s Japan concert. TEEN TOP who in the past remarked that they respected Big Bang as one of their favorite senior idols had also participating by sending in their own video.

Netizens who saw YG’s post remarked, “Good to see that they have such a good relationship!”, “TEEN TOP is so cute!”, and more.

Big Bang‘s Global Cover Contest is well underway, and it looks like the boys of TEEN TOP took the time to also participate in the event!

A video of some of the TEEN TOP members covering Big Bang’s “Fantastic Baby” has been surfacing all over the internet.

Niel, Ricky, and Changjo put on a fierce dance performance that was so spot-on, VIP‘s couldn’t help but applause their efforts.

Earlier this week, Big Bang released a MV teaser for “Fantastic Baby” through SBS‘s “Inkigayo“. After revealing a countdown on the YG-Life Blog, Big Bang has now finally released the full music video for “Fantastic Baby” off their latest mini-album “Alive“.

Unlike the mellow vibe of “Blue“ and “Bad Boy“, “Fantastic Baby” rocks a beat that makes you want to get up and dance. Big Bang has already taken over music charts both domestically and overseas and the thrones in the music video seem to acknowledge just that.

Big Bang’s performance of “Fantastic Baby” at their ‘2012 BIG BANG ALIVE TOUR‘ in Seoul was explosive. We can only wait to see what Big Bang has in store for their upcoming comeback stages.

Big Bang left fans gasping for air after two epic music videos in February, and judging by the latest MV teaser for “Fantastic Baby“, it looks like we won’t be catching our breath anytime soon!

The 26-second preview was revealed on this week’s episode of SBS ‘Inkigayo’ between performances. While “Blue” and “Bad Boy” exuded cool and chic vibes, “Fantastic Baby” cranks up the heat with vibrant colors and edgy concepts. “Fierce” would be an understatement.

As previously reported, the boys of Big Bang are doing it big for their 5th mini album by promoting six tracks at once.

Big Bang’s 5th mini-album, ‘Alive‘, is scheduled to hit shelves on February 29th, but the boys will release previews from each track every day prior to the release date.

Fans were treated to “Blue” first, ”Love Dust” next, “Bad Boy” third, and ”Ain’t No Fun” fourth, now “Fantastic Baby” has arrived!

The lyrics were written by G-Dragon with additional raps penned by T.O.P. The track was produced by G-Dragon, and Teddy.

Earlier, urkpop reported that contrary to their initial report, Big Bang wouldn’t be promoting two tracks, but four.

In their latest announcement, however, Big Bang has revealed that they would be promoting the remaining two tracks on the album (excluding the intro). This brings the final count to six title tracks: “Blue”, “Bad Boy“, “Love Dust”, “Fantastic Baby“, “Not Funny“, and “Wings“.

Big Bang will release “Blue” first on February 22nd, ahead of their actual mini-album release on the 29th. A teaser for “Blue” has already hit the airwaves, featuring a mini interview clip with leader G-Dragon himself.vBig Bang will continue to release teasers in cooperation with Naver Music, featuring footage of their honest thoughts about their return to the K-Pop scene after a long hiatus.

Big Bang will also be embarking on their ‘BIGBANG ALIVE TOUR 2012‘, starting with performances in Seoul on March 2nd through the 3rd.

As many of you know already, Big Bang will release their 5th mini album ‘Alive‘ on February 29th. They will also promote four tracks simultaneously — “Blue”, “Love Dust“, “Fantastic Baby” and ”Bad Boy“.

Korean conglomerate Naver is currently running a special “Big Bang is Back” promotion and also offering a special Big Bang Naver app. In the Naver app, a small audio preview of Big Bang’s track “Blue” was included. Fans were quick to capture the audio and share it on the internet, check it out below!

“Blue” will be released as a single on February 22nd, one week before the release of “Alive”.

The teaser is less than 20 seconds in length, but fans were given an audio sample to go along with the slideshow of T.O.P and Daesung‘s concept images. The teaser also focused on two titles from Big Bang’s 5th album, “Fantastic Baby” and “Wings“.

On the heels of Se7en‘s triumphant return last night, YG Entertainment is back updating their YG-Life blog with the first concept photo for “Fantastic Baby” one of seven new tracks from Big Bang‘s upcoming album titled ‘Alive‘!

Creatively using an oxygen mask to cover his face, Big Bang’s T.O.P uses his trademark piercing gaze to set the tone for what will surely be an epic comeback. Looks like the rumors of green hair, may in fact be partially true. His hair looks more blue than green to us though.

In other news, Big Bang’s solo concert, the ‘2012 Big Show‘, is officially sold out. Now fans are resorting to resellers to get a chance to be the first to see Big Bang return to the Korean music scene.
