TVXQ attends press event for ‘I AM’


On June 28th, TVXQ‘s Yunho and Changmin attended a stage greeting event for their SM Entertainment film, ‘I AM‘, at the CGV theaters in Guidong, Seoul.

Dressed to match in casual black suits, the two stood before reporters and fans in promotion of the movie, which hit theaters on June 21st. As previously revealed, the movie contains 16 years of history of the SM Entertainment artists, combining 4,824 tapes from SM and 4,415 tapes saved by Mnet. Fans will be able to see a deeper look into their favorite artists’ training days leading up to their concert at the New York Madison Square Garden for their ‘SM Town Live World Tour‘.

Yunho and Changmin provided excellent fan service at the event by calling up fans and giving out autographs. One special soldier in the audience earned a salute from Yunho.

Super Junior, “We still have a long way to go to match TVXQ’s popularity”


Hallyu superstars Super Junior recently gained attention as they commented on their increasing popularity in the Japanese market.

On May 13th, Super Junior held a press conference to mark the ‘Super Show 4‘ concert at the prestigious Tokyo Dome. During the conference, leader Lee Teuk shared his thoughts on Super Junior’s popularity by commenting, “I think we benefited greatly from the Hallyu Wave“.

When asked about the comparisons to label mates and fellow Hallyu superstars TVXQ, Lee Teuk replied, “Many people compare our popularity to TVXQ’s, but we really have a long way to go. TVXQ’s fandom is beyond imagination. TVXQ’s popularity is the result of hard work that began at performances in front of only 500 people.”

He continued by explaining, “In comparison, we never had any real promotions or activities in Japan but we received a lot of love as a result of the K-pop boom. We are considering creating a unit in Japan in order to repay the love that we received.”

In related news, Super Junior held their ‘Super Show 4′ performance across two nights at the Tokyo Dome. The concert was a resounding success, as each performance played to a crowd of over 55,000 and grossed over $14 million dollars in revenue.

The next leg of the ‘Super Show 4′ tour is scheduled to be held in Seoul on May 26 and 27th.

SHINee’s Jonghyun got fat


Or so he would like you to think. SHINee’s little prankster is up to no good once more as he tweeted a very hilarious picture.


The singer wrote, “Arf arf!! I got fat!!!!!!!!! I’m kidding it’s photoshopped.” He then uploaded his character poster for the upcoming SMTOWN movie I AM, but what’s hilarious to note is that he’s seen with a rounder face and thicker neck. But rest your hearts, fans, it’s only photoshopped, as he points out.

You amuse me to no end, Jonghyun.

You can be on SM Entertainment’s ‘I AM’ movie!


Known for producing a conglomerate of top groups, SM Entertainment is going to release a music biographical movie called ‘I AM’. The movie will feature famous artists and soloists like Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, F(X) and SHINee.

But this is not just a normal movie production starring your favourite idols. Fans all over the world have been invited to participate in this movie as well! And to qualify, fans simply have to upload video covers of dance, SM Town’s songs and even support messages on MNET‘s website.

Here is a promotional video uploaded on SM Entertainment’s youtube channel.
